The Geelong College has been extremely satisfied with the outcome of the new cricket training facility at the Preparatory Campus and recent resurfacing works on our existing tennis and netball courts.
The team from Grassports provided excellent service from the initial briefing and scoping of the project and through to the delivery of the job. The College was able to work closely with the Grassports management team and on-site personnel to ensure that a high quality finish was achieved on time and on budget‘ – Brad Carr (The Geelong College – Project Manager)

Grassports were engaged by The Geelong College in early 2023 for several projects on their agenda.
The primary undertaking involved the construction of a state-of-the-art nine-lane cricket practice net facility spanning 1,057m2. This encompassed the fabrication of the concrete slab, installation of black mesh fencing around the facility and within the lanes, as well as the supply and installation of Centurion 11mm turf in each of the nine lanes and Shield 9mm for the surrounding areas. Six of the nine lanes feature the exclusive Grassports Cricket Training System.
Coordinating the completion of the cricket net facility, the project to resurface six acrylic netball courts commenced. The courts, totalling 3,333m2 and arranged in groups of two and four, underwent a transformation from a dull, worn-out green to a vibrant Laykold green, giving them a fresh and rejuvenated appearance. These courts are made complete with netball line markings in yellow and tennis line markings in white, enhancing their functionality and adding a professional touch. The vibrant colours not only contribute to the aesthetic appeal but also provide a dynamic and engaging space for students.
